Teaser review: Faryaad features Zahid Ahmed as a villain we’ll love to hate

Faryaad

Zahid Ahmed has always managed to impress the audience with his craft and he is once again determined to win the viewers with yet another interesting drama, titled Faryaad. The actor will be playing an anti-hero opposite two newcomers, Ayeza Awan and Nawal Saeed.

“The play is centered around me and I’m a detestable guy. He is a greedy scum of the earth kind of a person with no moral compass,” Zahid had earlier said about his character — Murad — in an interview with Something Haute.  The actor added that he will be seen as an anti-hero whose entire story will be a lesson for the viewers. “There’s nothing likable about this character.”

The teaser of the drama is finally out and the description stands true. Murad seems to be the kind of husband no girl would want in her life.

Parents often worry about their daughter’s fate considering the kind of society we live in. Some treat them as a burden while others think of them as a curse, however, the leading lady thinks she has achieved her happy ending with her prince charming aka Murad only to discover the cruel reality.

Penned by Rehana Aftab, the drama is directed by Shahid Shafaat and Syed Ali Raza Osama. While the cast seems fairly new, Zahid is known to do superhit projects and play his characters to perfection.  Let’s see what this project has to offer. Until then, let’s have a look at the teaser:
