Teaser review: Raqs e Bismil appears to be a gripping tale of doomed love

Raqse Bismil

Since the first look of Raqs e Bismil came out last week, the excitement for the much anticipated Wajahat Rauf directorial grew bigger. So far we have seen the lead pair — Sarah Khan and Imran Ashraf — in different posters but HUM TV has also released the teasers of the drama serial a few hours ago and we cannot wait to watch this soulful story on our TV screens.

The drama is written by renowned playwright Hashim Nadeem. It appears that we will get to see Imran Ashraf in a distinct avatar in Raqs e Bismil. The actor is playing Moosa in the drama who looks like a hot-headed guy who won’t allow his sister, played by Anoushey Abbasi, to marry the love of her life. It seems Moosa is from an orthodox family and doesn’t believe in love.

However, when he will force his sister to marry someone else, she will curse him that ‘God willing, may he fall in love with someone who he won’t be able to get in life’ and Moosa eventually will fall for Sarah’s character. What will happen next is yet to be seen but judging by the thrilling background score in the teasers, it is going to be a gripping tale about two star-crossed lovers or perhaps unrequited love. The two may be perfect for each other and we will wish that they overcome every obstacle to be together but, of course, their love is doomed due to unfortunate timings, class differences or general misunderstandings.
