2) Book launch: Sense Me by Annum Salman

An amalgamation of Annum Salman’s written work over the years, Sense Me is a book which deals with subjects like masculinity, mental health, gender inequality and racism as a result of colonialism and language. Her debut book is a variety of long and short spoken words which will be read and performed for the attendees.

3) Wahala – Slavery by naTANDA Dance Theatre

Slavery has been a dark reality of human history. In fact, it has existed before it was recorded in manuscripts. Although slavery is now deemed illegal, we are enslaved in this modern age with not only forced labour and marriages but with our careers and minds. This contemporary dance performance by natANDA -first SriLankan contemporary dance group – aims to depict the suffering of anyone who has ever been subjected to slavery, regardless of its magnitude.
