The Cannes red carpet never disappoints!

The 72nd Annual Cannes Film Festival started on the 14th of May and will continue for a week, showcasing movies from across the world that have earned due global recognition. Highly anticipated films are to be screened this year but more than the movies, it’s the celebrities and their red carpet statements that will be making headlines.

Here are some of our favourite looks so far…

Deepika Padukone

Deepika’s first look on the red carpet was impactful and outstanding! She wore a cream gown by Peter Dundas, finished off with an exaggerated chocolate brown bow and Lorraine Schwartz statement jewels. What worked even more than her dress was the winged black liner.

Selena Gomez

Selena finally made her debut appearance at Cannes, dressed in Louis Vuitton, wearing a cropped bustier and matching semi-quilted maxi skirt with a thigh high slit, a wide clasped belt, metallic silver Jimmy Choo sandals and Bulgari jewels. She attended the The Dead Don’t Die premiere.

Alessandria Ambrosio

The Victoria Secret model stunned in a Julien Macdonald draped gown with intricate embellishments. Again, it was the glimpse of side leg that set this look on fire. Alessandria was attending the Les Miserables premiere.

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana looked as regal as ever as she kept it traditional with a touch of sass in a custom made Falguni Shane Peacock corset and a Gold Kanjeevaram sari by Madhurya creations. Those plum gloves added extra oomph to her vintage meets the future look.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra’s Cannes debut made headlines and for good reason. She stepped out in a black and red sequinned thigh-high slit dress by Roberto Cavalli and has been the trend this year, a great side leg!

Bella Hadid

Bella gave serious princess vibes in a  Dior haute couture ball gown, tiered with a tulle halter, wearing Bulgari jewels and Christian Louboutin pumps that completed her look.

Eva Longoria

We’re loving the glitz and glam in this look. Eva wore a Cristina Ottaviano asymmetric chain mailgown, which was heavily embellished. She topped up the look with de Grisogono earrings.

Sirita Jansen

The gorgeous Thai Danish actress was seen wearing a custom Michael Cico layered tulle gown with lavender ombre tones. It was one of the most outstanding statements made on the red carpet.
