What dramas like Tanhaiyaan and Ankahi did, other than provide high quality entertainment, was bring unforgettable stars into the limelight. Shehnaz Sheikh was one of the many stars we loved and saw back in the day, having made her debut in the industry with Balila, written by Shoaib Hashmi, her role as Zara in Tanhaiyaan won the hearts of many.

We caught the actress and her husband Seerat at PLBW

Spotting her in the front row at the recently held PFDC L’Oreal Bridal Week in Lahore, we approached the actress for a chat, who very sweetly scooted over and made place for us next to her. We asked the graceful actress what she thinks of the modern day heroine, “Who are the heroines of today?” Sheikh replied with a merry laugh.

“I think they’re doing a great job, better than our time where we didn’t have anyone to guide us. Actresses today are well groomed, they’re more with it!”

We asked Sheikh what notable change in the industry and execution of dramas she wishes to see today, “None whatsoever. Because everything is right at its time, what we did was fine for our time, what they’re doing now is fine for this time.”

The actress shied away from being photographed, but kindly obliged when we suggested her husband join her in the picture!
