Suno Chanda is back with season 2 and fans certainly can’t hold back their excitement. The most hyped and anticipated drama this Ramazan has opened a new chapter in Jiya and Arsal’s (played by Iqra Aziz and Farhan Saeed respectively) lives following their their wedding at the end of the previous season. But is it really going to be a blissful ride or we are up for another roller-coaster of emotions?

Something Haute caught up with Farhan Saeed and Iqra Aziz for an exclusive chat on set of Suno Chanda 2 and discovered lots of interesting details. For one, neither Farhan nor Iqra ever expected the first season to be a hit. Farhan, who was initially hesitant to sign the project when it was first offered to him, thinks Aehsun Talish, Iqra Aziz and him make a good team and that’s what probably clicked with the audience.

Asked how much of his personality he has lent to his character, Farhan said, “Arsal’s character has borrowed wit and humour from my real life and also my chemistry with my mother, but then there are several aspects of his personality which are totally opposite to me. For instance, he is of the opinion that women should stay at home and make rotis and I am nothing like that,” he said.

Iqra, too, said her character is a lot like how she is in real life. “Jiya is a lot like me. I can relate to her emotions, whether it’s her being angry, excited or happy. She knows there’s some purpose to life and she’s not going to compromise on her goals. I like this progressive mindset that she has,” she said.
