Maya Ali and Sheheryar Munawar have been promoting their upcoming movie, Parey Hut Love, to no end, and it sure is paying off, with #Saniyar being the talk of the town.

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past month, you might wonder what Saniyar means; it’s the ship name of their characters from the movie, Saniya and Sheheryar, and thanks to the A+ promotions, people can’t wait to see them onscreen.

Something Haute sat down with the two to talk about their upcoming movie, and needless to say, a lot of fun ensued. With Maya Ali trying and failing to sit still for longer than a couple of minutes, and Sheheryar revealing details about their characters, the sit-down was one for the books.

The chemistry between the two is palpable, and one thing’s for sure, if nothing else, these two will surely light up the screen in Parey Hut Love with their effortless bonding. “I learned a lot from him during filming. While I would try to get the shots done as quickly as possible, he would contribute to the script, making little changes here and there,” revealed Maya about her co-star. It is Sheheryar’s own production so we can understand why he would do that!

“I guess life imitates art, and sometimes art imitates life,” said Sheheryar while talking about his character, also named Sheheryar, in the movie. He plays a struggling actor, and when asked if he still considers himself to be one, Sheheryar had some wisdom to spill. “The struggle is real, and it stays constant. You can’t expect to keep swimming without making the effort to stay afloat, can you?” said Sheheryar.

According to Shery, his character wasn’t named Sheheryar at first.  “The character was originally named Shehban, however we changed it later. Asim really wanted me to channel my real self for the role and so he decided to go with Sheheryar,” shared the Ho Mann Jahan actor.

The two revealed more fun details from when they were filming, and how they developed this camaraderie in real life that seems to be tailor made for the big screen. Watch the whole interview here:
