The current sensation of Pakistan’s drama industry — Hira Mani — is ruling the airwaves nowadays with her performances in Bandish and Do Bol. The actress is overwhelmed by the response that she has received for Do Bol in particular and is excited for what’s next to come.

In an exclusive conversation with Something Haute, Hira shared that she never expected Do Bol to become such a massive hit. “The response is amazing; every week when an episode goes on air, it gets 2.5 million views overnight on YouTube,” she said.

Talking about her film aspirations, Hira revealed that she got inspired from late Sri Devi from India and Shahnaz Sheikh and late Khalida Riyasat in Pakistan.

“I have been offered three films so far, but none of them stood out. Even if a film doesn’t have a good script, I should portray a character who drives the story or has a margin to perform. I know how to steal the screen, so that’s not a problem for me. I can come for 10 minutes and leave a long-lasting mark,” Hira said.
