The most interesting and memorable experiences are seldom planned; they come out of the blue, like a bolt of lightning. That’s what Feroze Khan will second if you speak to him about his chance encounter with Salman Khan, the Dabangg Khan, in London.

“It actually happened out of the blue,” Feroze said when I convinced him to share his little tête-à-tête with Something Haute. He was in London for the IPPAs and the evening after, his sister Humaima, who has worked in Bollywood and has many friends there, told him they were meeting Salman Khan later that evening. Salman and his family were staying at a hotel nearby.

“I never get star struck but I was excited about meeting Salman,” Feroze shares. “I thought it would be a brief meeting but we ended up spending a lot of time with Salman and his family. It was quite an eye-opener!”

Feroze shares that Salman Khan was in London on a Dabangg Tour, which means he was in his element. But more than his persona, it was his chemistry and bond with his family that was amazing.

“The bond he had with his family, and his brother especially was very cool; he would say half a sentence and Salman would complete the other half,” Feroze remembers. “They knew exactly what the other meant without saying anything. Salman was especially close to his sister’s son, Ahil. The way he played with the child, rolling all over the floor with him, really showed me his human side. That night I saw Salman Khan truly ‘Being Human’.”

Did they get to talk?

They did, in fact, they spent a lot of time discussing work and life, health and fitness.

“It was a proud moment for me when Salman introduced me to his friends and family as Feroze Khan, a Pakistani actor,” he concluded with a smile.
