Playwright and producer Asma Nabeel, who has penned famous dramas like Khuda Mera Bhi Hai, Khaani, Dil Kiya Karay and the recently concluded serial Surkh Chandni, recently announced her first feature film, which will be about breast cancer awareness.

A breast cancer survivor or “warrior” herself, Asma hinted in her earlier interviews that she would like to pen her own story someday. Looks like she has finally put her thoughts on paper as the writer made an announcement on her Facebook page, making the most of October’s relevance as Breast Cancer Awareness month.

“No other month would be better to announce this great news of our next feature film, Fly. It’s the urge to do more and more for the cause that I am associated with. I always give credit to my cancer days for giving so much power to my pen and now it’s my time to give tribute to the most tough days of my life,” Asma wrote.

The writer also shared that despite addressing a taboo subject, Fly is a love story and she has given her heart and soul to it.

“The thought that was always in my mind that what more I can do to spread the awareness and to talk about the taboo subject of breast cancer. And that was the trigger to start this film script with all my excitement and passion, I am announcing Fly, a love story that will melt your heart,” she added.

The film will be produced under Crew Motion Pictures Production, which also announced it on their official page.

“The movie is dedicated to all the females and breast cancer warriors to support their battle for lives and encourage them to fight against this brutal disease,” the post read.
