Lately Instagram is bombarded with pictures of the celebrities who are promoting their upcoming films for Eid ul Azha. Two names who stood out the most in recent days are Zara Noor Abbas and Maya Ali whose Instagram feed have risen to the top as their outfits are fashion inspirations. Maya and Zara co-ordinated their styles at various occasions, but what stood out the most is their mutual love for solids.

As we have usually seen local actresses sticking to casual attire during promotions, we are intrigued by the duo’s ability to pull of strong and bold colors with such grace. Here’s a run down of the looks we loved the most…

Purple Haze

Many people will think that this dark purple hue won’t look good at day time, but Zara pulled this kaftan with aplomb. Golden metal studs soften the deep shade with fine details over the neck and hems. Zara kept the look simple with double hoop earrings.

Red Alert

An all-red ensemble is tricky piece to rock. Maya Ali not only did justice to the bright hue, but kudos to the stylist who turned this feisty shade into a doll-like silhouette. The puffed sleeve along with broad buckle belt and strappy red heels took the look up a notch. Loved those hair pins!

An Earthy Connection

Both Zara Noor Abbas and Maya Ali sported different shades of green during promotions. Zara wore teal green matching separates with a wrap around top. She paired the dark hue with snake-skin block heels, while Maya wore a pleated bright green dress. Golden pointed pumps complemented her look.

A Hint of Color Blocking

When donning solids, one can also play a little with color blocking. The technique is to mix and match complementing hues that may look stark alone, but together they make a statement. Maya Ali opted for this black denim jumpsuit with white seams. However, she added another color in the mix with that bright yellow Off-White belt. Zara Noor Abbas tried a sweet combination of pink pants with a white top. She paired it with a gingham print jacket.
