Zeb started her singing career with cousin Haniya, their musical group which helmed from Kohat was active from 2004 to 2014. The duo has sung popular tracks namely; Coke Studio’s Bibi Sanam Janem and Paimona to name but a few.

Marking the return of her solo singing,  Verha Sessions will feature tracks which will be a true depiction of Punjab’s vibrant and soulful culture, in collaboration with musicians with whom Zeb has formed a long association over the course of her musical career. The first track of the series is titled Lajpaal Ali which is a devotional poem penned for Hazrat Ali (R.A). Instruments ranging from guitar, rubab, dhol and more are heard and seen being used in creating the music.

Recollecting her memory about the poem she wrote on Instagram, “This intimate poem and tune was introduced to me a year back and stayed deep in my heart since.”

Even though Zeb has continued to sing for commercial projects, this live Punjabi musical series will mark her return to solo singing after a long hiatus. Produced by Saad Sultan and directed by Humza Yousaf, a new song will be released each week and we cannot wait to listen to more music from these sessions.
