We love Frieha Altaf’s annual vacations (there are several every year) simply because she chooses unchartered destinations and avoids conforming to touristy itineraries. She an explorer at heart, an adrenaline junkie who you won’t find in London during summer or in Dubai at New Year’s eve but rather somewhere completely exotic and unpredictable.

We also love the fact that Frieha keeps her style on, no matter where she goes. She doesn’t let her fashionista guard down even for a minute. We know she packs extensively, with her entire wardrobe laid out in her room so she can select her outfits with complimenting accessories, shoes, bags, sunglasses etc. It’s not a simple job but the result is spectacular!

A veteran of the unbeaten path, this year Frieha set her sights south of the equator on the opposite end of the world, for a tailored tour of Peru and Argentina, and the Caribbean. And we just got her amazing album. Sharing it with our readers…

Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu, a 15th century Inca citadel in the Urubamba Province in Peru, 8000 feet above sea level where, in Frieha’s own words “the ground resonated with an intense spiritual energy”.

Down the serpentine Amazon

Frieha stayed at the breathtaking Reserva Amazonica, situated on the banks of the unfathomable Amazon River for a few days of kayaking, canopy bridge walking and exploring the lush jungles of South America – she got to experience the fantastic flora and fauna of the Amazonian continent first hand.

Cuzco

She went from the Amazon to Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire, a popular tourist destination in Peru.

Lima

Frieha absolutely loved her time in the capital of Peru, Lima – located in a valley where the Chillion, Rimac and Lurin rivers meet for a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean – lots of sightseeing and great food; a one of a kind cultural experience.

Buenos Aires

From one end of the continent to another, her next stop was Argentina, particularly the bustling metropolis of Buenos Aires where she stayed at the beautiful Park Hyatt Palacio Duhau.

Cayman Islands with her kids

Her vacation did not quite end just yet. After a long and busy trip from South America, our favourite jetsetter made her way into the very heart of the Caribbean for some well-earned R&R on the Cayman Islands. Long walks on the beach, dinners by sunset, lounging by the pool with a book peppered with deep sea diving amongst shipwrecks to swimming with the stingrays – she did it all! An adventure diver, Frieha has now managed to successfully visit the top 5 dive sites in the world – the Maldives, the Red Sea, Bali, the Great Barrier Reef (last year), Cozumel and now the 6th, the Caymans.

Where will this Jetsetter be off next? We’ll keep you posted!
