Ahead of Superstar release, the main lead Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf are on promotions spree. The actors think that there is something special about Superstar because people inside and outside the industry have loved every teaser, trailer and song that has been released so far (sans Dharak Bharak that received mixed reviews).

In a recent conversation with Something Haute, Mahira and Bilal shared about their experiences while shooting for some of these melodious numbers.

“I’m loving the feedback, but it’s also scary. There are so many expectations; I get worried every time a song is about to release because I wonder if people are going to like this one or not? If you’ve noticed every song in Superstar has a very different flavor, from Bekaraan, Noori to In Dinon and Ghalat Fehmi,” she said.

Talking about his six packs and shirtless dance in Dharak Bharak, Bilal shared an interesting take on the song.

Dharak Bharak served its purpose in the movie which was meant to portray how inspired we are from Bollywood dance numbers. It is supposed to contribute in the story at a moment where Sameer is playing a character while shooting for a film. It’s a result of one years’ hard work. Also, I wanted to motivate people to build a healthy physique and inspire actors to do better dance and action sequences,” Bilal revealed.

Mahira’s performance on Noori was compared with Madhuri Dixit and the actress humbly takes this compliment. “Someone gave me a compliment that my face was also dancing. All credit goes to my love for Madhuri and my teacher Nigah jee. I was aware that Noori has to be completely different from Morey Saiyan (from Parey Hut Love). While the former involved kathak moves and I had to be in control, Noori demanded complete abandonment. I was in so much pain but I danced without any care in the world,” she said.
