Kate Middleton and Prince William finally landed at the Pakistani Air Force Base Nur Khan last night, and all eyes were on Kate as she set foot out in a Catherine Walker ensemble, looking every bit as elegant as an English Rose.

In what marks the royal couple’s first official visit to Pakistan, expectations from the tour are high, both in terms of royal duties and the Duchess’ style statements. Expected to wear a number of Pakistani designers during the course of her 4-day tour, including HSY, the public is eagerly waiting to see how she pulls off traditional Pakistani wear. She’s already worn Maheen Khan and we’re not even a day into her stay.

Her ombre, aqua-blue dress drew a lot of praise as soon as the pictures hit inter-web, and ofcourse drew comparisons with Princess Diana’s style whilst she visited Pakistan back in the day. The Princess had worn a light blue shalwar kameez as well on her visit to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital.

This morning, Kate was seen in a demure, classic suit by iconic Pakistani designer Maheen Khan, this time in an elegant periwinkle blue. It’s interesting to see the Duchess making the effort to follow cultural traditions and keep up with Pakistani style, for which she also has her stylist, Natasha Archer, to thank. “Tash (Natasha) has spent hours combing through look books with Catherine ahead of the tour and compiling a really beautiful and practical tour wardrobe. There are between one and three outfits planned for each day so that the duchess has options,” reported Harper’s Bazaar.

So far, we’re loving the looks and can’t wait to see which designer gets to dress the Duchess next!
