The film starring Usman along with the multitalented Rubya Chaudhry was screened yesterday at the Cannes International Film Festival.

“Pakistani short film Bench by Usman Mukhtar is being screened today at the Cannes International Film Festival taking place in France from October 18-20, 2020,” tweeted the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris, France.

It is a dialogue-centric film that explores the struggles faced by the characters played by Rubya and Usman. “Bench is about a young couple who are at a crossroad of their relationship where leaving each other is just as difficult as staying together. They meet again at their favorite spot to resolve their conflict, once and for all.”
