In these times of despair, Ali Sethi is one of the few Pakistani singers who has been continuously pushing the boundaries and coming up with new modes of entertainment for the audiences. First, he started live concert sessions then he collaborated with several Bollywood singers in those session and now he has made a song as well.

His most recent venture is a song titled Pehla Qadam (Tum Hee Bataao) released over the last weekend featuring several artists. While Ali has sung and composed the song, Sunayana Kachroo has written the lyrics, Danish Renzu & Abubakar Khan has produced it, Sunny Jain is on drums and Rush Vyas is the mixer/producer.

Talking about the song, Ali revealed: “It’s a song of hope and longing, my collab with Kashmiri and South Asian diaspora artists, made entirely in quarantine. I wanted to reach out to other artists across borders and boundaries,” he said.

While the video is an animated edition, with wild artwork in broad strokes of orange and blue, including flying birds, butterflies, the sun and the moon along with the portraits of the artists involved. The is a melodious number with thoughtful lyrics and a catchy beat; one that you will definitely play on loop.
