Veteran actor Asif Raza Mir’s popular British drama series Gangs of London is returning with its second season.

The BAFTA winning nine-part drama series was released in April 2020 and became the biggest UK original drama launch on Sky Original. Sky TV had announced in late 2020 that the show will be returning with a season 2 and the official teaser is out now.

The series is an adaptation of a video game released in 2006, with the same title. Gangs of London follows the stories and lives of rival gangs and other criminal organizations in London. It shows how the city of London fell apart by the power struggles between the international gangs that control it and the sudden ambiguous space that emerged when the head of London’s most powerful crime family was assassinated.Gangs of LondonRead: Gangs of London featuring Asif Raza Mir breaks rating records

Asif Raza Mir plays the character of Asif Afridi, an international drug lord from Pakistan, in the series. He is a selfish character who is known to unleash violent attacks on any gangs that cross him. He is also the father of a politician who is planning on running for the Mayor of London. The actor received rave reviews from international critics after the first season.

The crime-drama, produced by Sky Atlantic, broke viewing records. It had brought in 2.23 million viewers for its pilot episode alone. It was also the channel’s most binge-watched show of 2020.
