 Karachi Biennale

It is that time of the year when Pakistan celebrates art across many nations in the economic hub of the country. Welcome artists to the third iteration of the largest contemporary art event of the country, Karachi Biennale 2022 (KB).

And this year what’s different is that art has also met fashion as Khaadi, a leading Pakistani retail fashion and lifestyle brand, will join the Karachi Biennale in celebrating art for public audiences across the city. Khaadi extended a warm welcome to artists, the curatorial teams of the Third Karachi Biennale KB22, with an event at the Khaadi Experience Hub, Dolmen Mall Clifton on October 26th. The event kick-started activities of KB22 as it extended conversations, and connected communities.

“We welcome the trustees of the Karachi Biennale Trust, the curator and artists and acknowledge their contribution to opening art to public audiences across the city,” said Founder & CEO Shamoon Sultan in a press statement.

This year’s Biennale will take place from October 31st to November 13th at eight venues across Karachi showcasing exciting and immersive work by artists from 13 countries. The theme ‘Collective Imagination: Now and the Next’ will focus on technology as a medium of art that offers new possibilities for the future.

As a token of appreciation for the artists and their dedication to the arts, Khaadi has designed KB merchandise representing the ethos of the host city, Karachi.

“Khaadi and KB22 are both platforms for innovation and creativity, and we are honored to be hosting an evening with such talented individuals who will play a role in putting Pakistan on the world map,” Shamoon said.

We appreciate that Khaadi, a hub of innovation, is joining us in celebrating art for public audiences,” she added.
