Dubai gets a lot of credit for its pristine beaches, the enormous malls, its bustling nightlife, luxury shopping & even popular tourist attractions but there’s one aspect of a holiday in Dubai that’s criminally underrated and that is…

Access to all the popular cuisines of the world!

Seriously though, when you’re in Dubai you really don’t need to worry about what your next meal is going to be. In fact, the only worry you have is how to choose between the zillionth food options at your disposal. From fast food joints to exquisite fine dining, whatever you’re in the mood for – like a genie in a magic lamp – Dubai will present to you your desired food item.

And while it is incredibly difficult to list down and share with you the many many, many restaurants/eating joints in Dubai, I’d like to divert your attention to two I had the opportunity to visit in my very short trip recently which you must try. Why, what’s so special about these, you ask?

Hear me out:

  • At.mosphere at Burj Khalifa

Situated at 442 meters above ground on the 122nd floor of only the world’s tallest building – Burj Khalifa – At.mosphere needs to be on your itinerary not just for the breathtaking views it offers but perhaps, even more importantly, its culinary delights and premium service. With two separate spaces, one the At.mosphere Restaurant and other the At.mosphere Lounge and Bar, you’re truly spoilt for choice because you can literally spend your entire day here starting with breakfast at 7am and ending your day with dinner as late as 2am!

The sophistication of modern French inspired cuisine being served in the restaurant is reflected in the surroundings through the many beautiful mirrors and stunning marble ornaments yet if you’re in the mood for a bit more causal outing, At.mosphere Lounge and Bar is the perfect choice. Diners get to enjoy international infused cuisine and unique flavours with extensive à la carte and sharing menus offering the likes of Foie Gras, Billionaire Sliders, Braised Wild Mushroom, Oysters on Ice, Wagyu 9+ Tomahawk, Blue Lobster, and much more.

Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the restaurant, and breakfast, high tea, and dinner in the lounge, At.mosphere will surely leave you impressed!

  • BQ French Kitchen and Bar at Habtoor Palace

Hands down one of the best French restaurants in Dubai, BQ French Kitchen is the place to be for that special lunch or dinner with your loved ones. Serving French classics, the extensive menu sections range from small entrees to classic brassiere dishes all in the comfort of your seat in a bustling environment.

Sophisticatedly dressed servers in blanc-bleu uniforms with beret hats reminiscent of French Artisans escort guests to their tables, covered in exquisite French designed tablecloths and cutlery to remind them of a chic dining occasion at Champs-Élysées. Freshly sourdough baguettes welcome the guests as soon as they take a seat to the table with their own personal attendant to explain the concept of dining À la Française.

The newly crafted menu includes staples such as:

  • Tarte Flambee (Baked flat bread, Beef bacon, Crème Fraiche, Onion and Truffle)
  • Tiger Prawn Linguini (Tiger prawns cooked with Basil tomato sauce and served with spaghetti)
  • Duck Leg Confit (Slow cooked duck, Braised Green Lentins, Endive Salad and Orange Glaze)

As for your sweet tooth, guests can choose from Pain Perdu – A French delicacy, Chocolate Profiteroles and more delicacies from the menu.
