Following an awards show in 2020 where the nominees appeared virtually, the Emmy Awards are back in its true form this year and took place at Los Angeles. With a fun red carpet parade including top winners from the most celebrated shows like The Crown, Mare of Easttown and Ted Lasso, Emmys — the TV’s night of nights — was celebrated in full spirit.
Bright and bold hues stood out amongst the night’s biggest trends along with dresses that added a touch of old Hollywood glam. Take a look at what the stars wore at the 73rd Emmy Awards:
Anya Taylor-Joy in Christian Dior with Tiffany & Co. jewellery.
Mindy Kaling wore a black column gown with a custom bow by Carolina Herrera and shoes by Jimmy Choo, plus more than 50 carats of diamonds by De Beers Jewellers.
Ellen Pompeo In Elie Saab with VRAI jewellery. The actress wore a black velvet long-sleeve jumpsuit with crystal detailing.
Regé-Jean Page was in Giorgio Armani with Cathy Waterman jewellery.
Michaela Coel wore a bold neon two-piece gown by Christopher John Rogers.
Kate Winslet paired her black silk cady and chiffon gown by Giorgio Armani Privé with vintage jewellery from Fred Leighton.
Elizabeth Olsen wore a caftan-like gown designed by her sisters, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, for The Row, plus jewellery by Chopard and custom-dyed Chaka platforms by Stuart Weitzman.
Hannah Waddingham, with co-star Brett Goldstein, wore a peach silk draped dress by Christian Siriano.
Jason Sudeikis, ditched his hoodies and wore a velvet tuxedo and boots by Tom Ford.
Kaley Cuoco wore a neon-hued gown by Vera Wang Haute with diamonds by De Beers Jewellers.
In London, Olivia Colman wore a Roksanda dress by designer Roksanda Ilincic, along with Roger Vivier’s Mini Broche Vivier platform sandal.
Yara Shahidi wore a custom emerald-hued gown by Dior Haute Couture, jewellery by Cartier and nude leather pumps by Christian Louboutin.
Awkwafina wore Monique Lhuillier’s high-neck, deep V bodice organza gown onstage as a presenter.
In London, Gillian Anderson wore a midriff-baring bohemian look by Chloe.
Sarah Paulson wore a red ruched gown with a deep V neck by Carolina Herrera with diamond earrings by Mateo and shoes by Stuart Weitzman.
Mj Rodriguez wore a custom teal gown by Atelier Versace with jewelry by Bulgari. “I wanted to look like water coming out of the sea,” the actress said on the red carpet.
Kerry Washington rebranded a classic satin slip dress with an edgy twist, an exterior corset. She wore Custom Etro and De Beers.
