How many of you have been waiting for Imran Ashraf’s next drama serial ever since Ranjha Ranjha Kardi ended? And more significantly, how many of you die-hard fans have been eagerly anticipating Imran’s first drama serial as romantic hero? Well, it looks like you won’t have to wait much longer as the teaser of his upcoming project, that he posted on Instagram about four days ago, suggests that it is right around the corner. We see Imran stripped of all previous characters that he has successfully portrayed, including the endearing Bhola, who dominated his persona throughout the duration of the play. One wondered whether Imran would ever be able to shake Bhola off and it appears that being the performer that he is, he has managed to do just that.

Read: Imran Ashraf transitions from character actor to romantic hero with latest drama

We have it straight from sources at 7th Sky Entertainment that this drama – featuring Imran Ashraf and Neelum Muneer in lead roles – will air on GEO TV in about three weeks, which is roughly the first week of October. It will replace Mera Rab Waris on Thursdays. Written by Kaisra Hayat and directed by Saima Wasim, this will be 7thSky Entertainment’s signature project for the next season.

Here are some more details…

As revealed in the teaser, we will see a lovely young girl, Rida (Neelum Muneer in a positive, romantic role after successfully playing a negative role as Ulfat in the highly acclaimed Dil Mom Ka Diya) getting married to Zeeshan (Imran Ashraf in his first role as romantic hero). But things can’t be that simple. We suspect that while everything appears perfect at first sight, Rida will face unexpected challenges, twists and turns in her married life, and the story will unravel around how she deals with them. With two ace actors at the helm of this family drama, we can expect much more than the regular saas-bahu drama.

Will there be a twist to Zeeshan’s character? We expect so.

The drama has been filmed with a working title, which will be confirmed in a day or two. Watch this space for all updates…
