Speaking of her short film Dancing Doll, she said the experience was the best by far. “I did a drama with this film’s director, Mohsin Talat about 14 years ago as a child star playing the lead role and now I became his main lead in the short film; I don’t have words to explain how happy I am for achieving this,” she shared.

“The shooting pattern of the film is different, the acting is different; it was a whole new experience for me and I absolutely loved it.”

Also, addressing the future of digital content in Pakistan, she said that this is a good opportunity. “I feel it’s getting there and COVID and lockdown have inevitably lead to a bigger demand and desire in the audiences for good content.”

Display of violence has become casual and slapping women has become a norm in our dramas. We asked the actor to share her thoughts and if she would be okay with taking a slap or two for a script.

“I don’t think there’s a problem in it because it’s just our industry who focuses on these kinds of petty things, in other industries people have been murdering other people and smashing their heads with blood splashing everywhere, bullets going through the body and so much more violence but we watch them and never complain,” Anoushay replied, clarifying that sometimes it is the demand of the script. “I believe if the story demands a thappar then it’s absolutely okay to do it.”

Other than these projects, Anoushay has recently completed the shoot for Anjum Shehzad’s web series for ZEE5, Abdullahpur Ka Devdas along with  Bilal Abbas Khan and Sarah Khan.
