Imran Abbas’ next ‘Amanat’ is a drama with an ensemble cast

After the success of critically acclaimed and much-loved Alif, the duo of Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz are back with their next big project under the banner of Next Level Production. Titled Amanat, the drama boasts of an ensemble cast with Imran Abbas and Urwa Hocane as the leading pair.

Imran took to Facebook last night and shared the big news with his fans:

 

 

Talking exclusively to Something Haute, Imran revealed a details about the project. “I have signed this serial after almost one and a half year. The last project I shot for was Thora Sa Haq which wrapped up in December, so after almost a year I will go on any shoot. The director of our drama Amanat is Shahid Shafaat, who has a lot of great dramas to his credit,” Imran shared.

“Cast includes Urwa Hocane who has been paired opposite my character then there is Saboor Aly, Haroon Shahid, Saba Hamid, Sheheryar Zaidi, Babar Ali. Gohar Rasheed will also be making a guest appearance,” Imran said.

 

 

“It is circumstances-based love story and a very interesting script. I’m working with this production house for the first time; I’ve previously worked with Humayun bhai (Six Sigma) but this is the first time I have got a chance to work with Sana Shahnawaz who is a very dear friend of mine,” Imran shared adding, “unfortunately, we couldn’t get a chance to work together earlier, but I’m very excited and surprised to see a producer who is so passionate about their project. There are very few producers who are so invested; other than her I have seen this quality in Abdullah Seja. Sana, along with Samina bhabi, are planning its production, marketing, artwork and everything very keenly.”

We also spoke to Sana Shahnawaz and found out that she is very fond of this script. “It is a family drama with love, romance and all other elements that audience wish to see in our dramas. We have previously given love stories like Mann Mayal and Do Bol that viewers have loved. Nowadays, one of our production Bikhre Moti is airing which is a cause-based drama,” she said.

“This script has this unique quality that you get hooked on to it. I gave Urwa four episodes to read and she asked me  to send her more, and then she ended up reading nine episodes in one night. So, we hope that this magic also translates on screen,” Sana added.

Talking about the cast which has so many big names, Sana revealed that they always knew who will fit in which character. “These characters are tailor-made for these actors; we always knew which actor will play which character so we waited and managed to get all of them on board,” she said.

While we found out during the course of our conversation that this is going to be an ARY Digital project, Imran also revealed that the OST is composed by Naveed Nashad who has given us amazing original soundtracks of Meray Paas Tum Ho, Suno Chanda, Do Bol, Ishq Zah-e-Naseeb and Yeh Dil Mera.

He also shared the picture of the script on his Instagram to make it official.

 

 

“The drama will be shot in Islamabad and Karachi,” Imran concluded. Sana shared that they are starting the shoot from coming Monday i.e. 2nd November, 2020.

With an ensemble cast and such creative minds behind the project, we sure hope to see a great drama serial in 2021.  Keep watching this space for more updates about the project.
