With Pakistani film industry flourishing at a decent pace, many television actors have started to venture into celluloid. One such name is drama serial Hania’s actor and musician Junaid Khan, who is all set to make a debut on big screen as the leading man opposite Mansha Pasha.

Titled Kahay Dil Jidhar, the feature film is helmed by TVC director Jalal Rumi and produced by Kamran Bari, who is also playing a character in film. Besides the lead cast, we will see veteran actor Sajid Hasan in the film.

According to a press statement issued by Junaid, he is playing a character that he has never done before.

“I’m playing, Sheheryar, who is a police officer. The film holds a strong message about the issues that plague our society,” Junaid said about the role.

What made him choose this script?

“I have been offered a lot of films since my cameo appearance in Bin Roye in 2014, but to be honest I was waiting for the right team and a good script. Finally, I took the leap of faith and decided to move to the big screen,” he added.

Something Haute also contacted Mansha Pasha for confirmation. The actress is currently on a Mediterranean cruise and shared that she will soon reveal details about the project and her role in it. Mansha made her cinematic debut in 2017 with Chalay Thay Saath, later she played a lead character in 2019’s critically acclaimed film, Laal Kabootar.

The shooting of Kahay Dil Jidhar is in the works and it is expected to complete by October. Keep watching this space for more updates.
