Singer turned actor Junaid Khan has made a name for himself in the television industry by giving multiple praiseworthy performances. His role as Wajdan in Kashf earned him much praise and appreciation recently and he is currently appearing in Mohabbatein Chahatein along with Hira Mani and Armeena Rana Khan.

His many anticipated projects include his debut film Kahay Dil Jidhar as well as a noticeable role in the upcoming third installment of Khuda Aur Mohabbat which features Iqra Aziz and Feroze Khan in the lead.

“My character, Sikander, is a very different character compared to what I’ve played before and it gave me the opportunity to experiment,” revealed Junaid in an exclusive chat with Something Haute.

Apart from the character he was offered, he added that Wajahat Hussain is a director he trusts to produce great content.

“I’ve previously worked on four projects with Wajahat and he is a great director. I trust his vision. He has a great command over the characters so I’m sure he’ll develop something phenomenal from the script which itself is very well written,” Junaid said adding that it is not a typical run-of-the-mill play.

“I play a landlord from Punjab. I have a family, however, I won’t reveal if it’s a positive or negative character,” he said talking about his role in the drama without going into the details.

“I’ve worked with Iqra on a few projects and it’s always a pleasure,” he shared adding that this is the first time he’s worked with Feroze Khan. “Although we have limited scenes together, the experience was wonderful nonetheless.”

Most of his scenes are going to be with Tooba Siddiqui who will be seen playing a very important character. “Tooba is a wonderful person to be on set with; very fun-loving and professional,” he revealed adding that it’s too much fun to work with Tooba and Sunita Marshall in particular.

The actor was all praise for veterans Rubina Ashraf and Usman Peerzada. “It’s a power-packed cast led by a wonderful director,” he concluded adding that his project has all the right ingredients to hopefully make it a success.

Produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment, Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 is expected to go on-air either in December 2020 or January 2021.
