Lux Style Awards 2022

The Lux Style Awards are the most distinguished and prestigious accolades that Pakistan has to offer. The ceremony has entered its third decade this year and to celebrate 21 years of honouring the entertainment industry, LSA 2022 introduced some new changes. The award night was held on Thursday, 24th November in Lahore and was attended by creme de la creme of the fashion, film, television and music industry.

This year, viewers were given an equal opportunity to cast their vote for the artists they want to see in the top 5 nominations of categories. I0n addition to channel rating for TV categories, the Viewer’s Choice categories will be a combination of public rating and digital rating for all categories.

A dark jury decided on the categories for the Critic’s Choice section of the awards. Additionally, the procedure for both the Viewer’s and Critic’s Choice selection processes was audited by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC).

LSA 2022 had its fair share of controversies prior to the awards night, including lack of female representation in music categories, outrage over Feroze Khan’s nomination and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s decision to return her LSA trophy in its wake. However, the industry attended the ceremony in full spirit and several stars took the silver trophy home.
