Lahore-based designer Mohsin Naveed Ranjha has collaborated with many Pakistani as well as Bollywood superstars. His fame has reached Hollywood as well after he dressed Tan France, a British-Pakistan stylist and TV personality who rose to fame after appearing in Netflix reality TV series, Queer Eye.

Mohsin Naveed Ranjha certainly has come a long way and he sure knows how to make Pakistani designs known to the world. The designer has beautifully paid tribute to the Subcontinental bridal institution and royal classicism through his latest collection, Rajwaara Ki Rani that is a tale of unmatched fashion, glamour and old world charm.

Featuring luxurious fabrics that have been intertwined with classic embellishments and traditional silhouettes, the collection brings out some of the best to come out of MNR and his house of fashion.

Rajwaara Ki Rani  is a collection fit for a queen and here’s everything we love about it:

The Concept

Exploring the royal sartorial history of fashion, Mohsin Naveed Ranjha features a fabled land where a queen rules as a matriarch. Muse Aymen Saleem is featured in bespoke ensembles as a quintessential MNR woman.

The collection uses the magnificent Noor Mahal as a milieu to the campaign adding the perfect amount of grandeur.

The Embellishments

MNR brings the embellishments of the royal annals of fashion to life with Rajwaara Ki Rani. One can spot traditional work such as tilla, aari jaal, zarri, pearl-work, gota, dabka, kora, sheeshagari, sitari, and marori, among other detailing  making this a collection that truly pays tribute to the rich heritage of South-Asian embroideries.

The Colours

MNR is a modern-age mixologist of colours and his palette is usually impressive. Pastels, jewel tones, and traditional reds make Rajwaara Ki Rani an ideal choice for the bride who wants to go down a path of fusion by mixing the traditional and contemporary.

The Silhouettes

Rajwaara Ki Rani features perfect silhouettes that fit the requirements of a modern day bride who wants to look like royalty. MNR takes ghararas to the next level with his play on the classic.

The traditional and pure eastern aesthetics meshed into stunning timeless silhouettes are guaranteed to leave anyone spellbound.

The MNR Signature

There’s a reason why MNR is a global icon and it has tons to do with his signature touch on to these ensembles. Be it the designer’s approach towards highlighting the age-old heritage pieces and the embellishments they are renowned for or the play on fabrics such as organza, velvets, silks and cotton nets, Mohsin Naveed Ranjha has proven that he is a force to be reckoned with – especially after what he has explored with Rajwaara Ki Rani!
