While we eagerly wait for the next two Pakistani web series that are expected to release on Zee5, including Saba Qamar and Naumaan Ejaz’s Mann Jogi and Abdullahpur Ka Devdas starring Bilal Abbas and Sarah Khan, there is another big news that has taken the cyber world by storm. Zee5 has announced another dark and mysterious series featuring some of the bigwigs from the entertainment business titled Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam.

While the actors involved in the project are tightlipped, the teasing tweets by Sarwat Gilani, Sanam Saeed and Osman Khalid Butt were enough to lure us. The motion posters hinted at a ‘desi and feminist noir’ that calls out patriarchy, once again, after Churails.

Team Something Haute found out that it is an anthology and the red, black and white theme of the posters, are actually giving off a film noir vibe. The motion posters are gritty, dark, dramatic and full of rage. This one is bound to be compared with Churails as it seems that the collection of stories will be based on hard-hitting realities of our society about resilient and courageous women. Thank heavens that we are finally celebrating females and not through a male gaze as well.

A few hours ago, producer Shailja Kejriwal and others have posted motion posters, introducing a stellar cast.

Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam is headlined by powerhouse female performers like Samiya Mumtaz, Beo Raana Zafar, Faiza Gillani, Sarwat Gilani, Sanam Saeed, Mehar Bano, Eman Suleman. It seems like they will be appearing in characters that we have never seen before on television or big screen in Pakistan.

“Super excited about this one! Women’s rage/noir/female gaze! What’s not to like?” Shailja tweeted.

Zee Zindagi has also tweeted the announcement with names of several artists including Ahsan Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, Sheheryar Munawar, Meenu Gaur, Farjad Nabi amongst others.

“It is time to uncage their voices. Say hello to the Qatil Haseenas… they are #BornToKillNotKneel,” the tweet read.

According to an article in Deadline, the series emphasizes “the theme of female empowerment, the show focuses on the fearlessness of women and their determination to avenge deceit, whilst being set in ‘Androon Sheher’ [downtown] – a mythical neighbourhood. Themes of love, ambition, revenge and revolution will also be explored.”

Written by Farjad Nabi and Meenu Gaur, who have previously given Zinda Bhaag. It is directed by Meenu Gaur and produced by Hasan Abidi and Shailja Kejriwal, Qatil Haseenaon Ke Naam will release soon on Zee5.

The concept and Illustration of the engrossing poster is by Samya Arif, animated by Arun Ramesan and music direction by Mohit Shandilya.

With powerful women characters and new themes to look forward to, we cannot wait to see the teasers and trailer now.

Those assignments include disclosing the home by means of marketing, showing the home to buyers, constructing a sense of buyer urgency in order to prompt an offer, organizing home inspections, taking on qualification inspections with the mortgage lender, supervising fixes, and facilitating the closing of the deal.
