Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was recently featured in a Diwali advertisement for Cadbury wearing an outfit by Pakistani designer Faraz Manan.

Apart from the heartwarming message the ad delivers, Pakistanis are more touched by his choice of outfit.

King Khan was seen in a cream-coloured kurta-pyjama combo, paired with a matching embellished sherwani. The ad tries to promote local small businesses ahead of Diwali.

Cadbury used machine learning to recreate SRK’s voice and facial expressions to make it seem like he’s taking the names of local stores and promoting them as their brand ambassador.

Faraz also shared a picture of the actor from the campaign on his Instagram story. “Yess. SRK in Faraz Manan,” confirmed the designer.

The designer has several clients across the border including Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra. Faraz has also dressed Late Sri Devi, who despite being a Manish Malhotra loyalist most of her life, seemed to have developed a liking for the UAE-based Pakistani designer.
