Veteran actor Sohail Asghar passed away on Saturday, November 13 after a prolonged illness. The unfortunate news was confirmed by his family. His wife shared that he had been unwell for the past year and a half.

Following a gastric surgery, his health deteriorated. The actor’s funeral prayers will be held today (Sunday) in Bahria Town, reported news channels.

Sohail was born in Lahore where he completed his education. Later he joined Radio Pakistan and from 1978 to 1988 worked as a radio jockey.

He began a career in theatre and also starred in dramas such as Laag, Piyas, Chand Girhan and Kajal Ghar.He made his silver screen debut with the film Murad in 2003.

Following the news of his passing, several celebrities took to social media to express their grief.
