After staying away from the limelight for a really long time, Pakistani film actress Zara Sheikh is all set to star in the highly anticipated drama, Raqs e Bismil.
Wahajat Rauf’s directorial Raqs e Bismil stars Imran Ashraf and Sarah Khan in the lead. Not only does the project mark Zara’s return to the entertainment industry but also the director’s TV comeback after five years.
“Directed a TV drama after 5 years. A beautiful and intense script written by the great Hashim Nadeem, a dream cast and a kickass producer,” Wajahat shared his excitement.
Described as a soulful story, the first look of the drama has been released featuring the lead pair.
“First day of shoot for HUM TV drama ‘Raqs E Bismil’, along with my amazing producer Shazia Wajahat,” wrote Zara sharing a picture from the set. “Blessed to have the best team,” she further added.

Penned by the Khuda Aur Mohabbat fame writer Hashim Nadeem, the drama will be a joint production venture between Shazia Wajahat and Momina Duraid of MD Productions.
Other than Imran, Sarah, and Zara, the cast for Raqs e Bismil also includes big names like Saleem Mairaj, Mehmood Aslam, Anoushay Abbasi, Nida Mumtaz, Gul-e-Rana, and Furqan Qureshi among others.
