Veteran actor Asif Raza Mir has signed a project with HBO which will be shot in London. The news was confirmed by his wife Samra Raza Mir on her Instagram l.

Gareth Evans, who is known for his 2011 Indonesian action flick The Raid: Redemption, is creating an action series called Gangs of London. According to Den of Geek, Gareth described the series as “a multicultural world of global crime as it intersects on the streets of London.”

The series will be set in present-day London which has been ripped apart by the destructive power struggles of international criminal organizations.

As per movie database IMDb, Asif has been roped in the cast of the 10-part series, out of which he will appear in the first four episodes. The release date of the series has not been announced yet, but it will be aired on HBO’s Cinemax and Sky Atlantic.

The series also stars notable names such as Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones), Mark Lewis Jones (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Jing Lusi (Crazy Rich Asians), Brian Vernel (Dunkirk), Richard Harrington (Poldark) and Emmett J Scanlan (Peaky Blinders) along with many others.
