Even if fashion does repeat itself, each cycle highlights different style, putting the same trend into a new context and introducing new characteristics. Embroidery is not a novel technique but over the course of years, embroidered details have been mostly used as embellishments. Élan has taken the embroidery game up a notch by introducing its laser cut fabric collection which features meticulously embroidered ensembles.

Exploring what more can be done with customized embroidery, Élan’s La Broderie capsule uses laser cutting technique to ensure extreme accuracy and clean finishing as the sealed edges of embroidery prevent fraying. The assortment comprises intricately adorned outfits in jewel tones; the colour palette here is inclined towards deeper hues such as plum, emerald green, teal blue and black.

Here is a rundown of what is in store for you in the upcoming collection; scroll through and find you favourite pick to order:

The collection has a classic feel with elegant and tailored silhouettes. We particularly loved the basic ebony number which has a pretty interplay of floral and geometric patterns. The heavily embroidered shirt is muted down with light accents of ochre which is used as a piping. We particularly loved the loop details on the layered trouser.

The shade of Rubies is the canvas for this dense floral piece which is rendered in a scalloped and structured silhouette with peekaboo sleeve detailing. The dress has embroidered scalloped pants which will make a sartorial statement.

A deep teal blue base is adorned with geometric patterns featuring an oriental neckline with tassel buttons and peach accents. Pair it with large hoop earrings or crystal jewellery to add more glam to the outfit.

Next in line is a plum ensemble; the highlight of which is peach loops and triangular cut-outs neatly placed over the neck, hem and sleeves. If you want to opt for a darker shade, this verdant emerald dress is a perfect choice with its deep hue complemented with lush architectural motifs and blossoms.

The La Borderie collection will be launching on 25th April in stores and online.
