2020 has been an exhausting year for the most part due to a global pandemic that crippled every avenue of business and entertainment. Keeping up with the current times, Unilever decided to cancel an in-person award ceremony of the 19th annual Lux Style Awards and went for a digital show. The Lux Style Awards office have announced the winners for this year in the arenas of fashion, films, music and television in Karachi today.
This is the first time in the 19-year history of the LSA’s that the entire judging and awarding process has been conducted online, to ensure safety of the nominees, juries, auditors and organizers. As another for LSA, the winners are also being announced ahead of the virtually recorded ceremony, which will be shown online next week.

Other than honoring winners in the above mentioned 28 categories, Two Lifetime Achievement Awards were announced as well. Revered compere, writer and host par-excellence, Anwar Maqsood will be conferred the Unilever Chairman’s Lifetime Achievement Award. The Lifetime Achievement Award in Fashion was awarded to photo journalist and photographer, Tapu Javeri.
